Purple Poppy wreaths

Many of you have been asking how you can buy purple poppy wreaths to commemorate the service and sacrifice of animals in war. We recommend that you make one out of knitted poppies like the one pictured above.

They look really impressive and are very durable and can withstand the autumn weather. All you need is a simple and cheap circular wooden base (available from many inexpensive stores at a cost of about £6), and a handful of knitted poppies.

Simply glue the poppies onto the base, wait to dry and either paint the back of the wreath purple or glue on more poppies. If you are struggling to make or find knitted, purple poppies please let us know and we will send you a batch. When you lay your wreath at your local war memorial take a photo and send to us so we can share with other kind-hearted folk.
