New generation Zahra and Sophia hop on board

Introducing our latest and youngest members of The War Horse Memorial team. Zahra and Sophia Villiers from Wellingborough raised hundreds of pounds for our Animal Purple Poppy Fund by selling badges and knitted poppies at their school, Redwell Primar, and their local Brownie pack.

We were so impressed by their dedication that we have made them Junior Ambassadors and are proud to have them on board. Zahra (left) is 10 years old. She loves all animals and has a hand-reared cat called Joey. She enjoys going to gymnastics and has a real passion for drawing and creative writing. Her sister, eight-year-old Sophia, has a pet cat called Arlo. She attends Judo, loves everything pokemon and attends Brownies where she loves completing her badges.

The girls are standing by as we prepare to launch our 2024 Animal Purple PoppyFund to co-coincide with International War Animal Day on February 24. Let us know if you would like to get involved. Our website will carry more details soon.
