Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Parade and Memorial Service

Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Parade and Memorial Service.

Sunday, May 13, 2018.We were honoured to be invited to London’s Hyde Park today to be part of the special annual Parade and Memorial Service for the combined Cavalry Old Comrades - the Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and the 1st Royal Dragoons). With a proud tradition of 357 years of service to their country, the Blues and Royals are second only after their fellow Household Cavalrymen, the Life Guards, in seniority in the British Army. The Regiment’s Colonel, the Princess Royal (pictured below) was met by Lieutenant-General Sir William Rollo, KCB CBE, President of the Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association before she lay a wreath in memory of all ranks who gave their lives in the service of their Country. The music for the parade and service was provided by, among others, The Band of the Household Cavalry, under Director of Music, Major Craig Hallatt who has written our Elegy to the War Horse, which is now available to pre-order.Release Date: 1st June 2018.
